CAMBELL 50th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS Saturday July 11th 2009

Put the date in your diary – venue booked, disco booked & food booked.
Please keep this date free to celebrate with us – all our old & new club members where ever you are in the Country or World. If you have been a member of our club please contact us for further details. or
New Cambell Training – No further training until September 1st
There will be no more Tuesday training sessions for either the Junior or Senior section. Monday & Wednesday night Met Summer league continues through July.

Manor Junior Rally – Sat June 20th

Congratulations and well done to all the teams that played yesterday you did yourself and the club proud.
U11′s – Didnt you improve as the rally went on, winning several games and brought great excitement to all the Mums and Dads especially when you scored your goals. Thank you Charlotte for stepping in at the last minute to play. Coach Rose:
U12′s – Well what a tournament – you played with such style it was a pleasure to watch. There was some scintillating interceptions taking place all the way down the court combined with excellent shooting which enabled you to finish top having not lost a game all day to pick up the winning trophy. U13′s – This was another team that improved their play during the day with every single one of you giving a 100%. There was some great inter play between you and a determination to do well which resulted in some really good wins. Well Done: Coach Jackie:
U14′s – A very determined group of players who wanted to show their coach they can play well under pressure. Through out the day all 9 players produced some excellent results and were able to keep to their game plan all the way through to take the U14 trophy as winners. Coaches: Tracey & Jane:

London Youth Games

As a club we have many players that will be representing their local Boroughs – Barking & Dagenham: Havering: Redbridge: Waltham Forest. As soon as I have a complete list (if you want to send them through to me) I will put all your names on the Web.

A reminder that the County Academy & Satellite trials are being held on Sunday
@ Langdon School Sussex Road East Ham E6 2S.
U14 Age group are to report in at 9.00am and trials will continue untill 12.30pm.
U18 Age group are to report in at 12.30pm and will continue untill 4.00pm .

Please ensure that you take a change of clothes (rain) and drink.
Please do not attend if you did not send your trial form in on time or failed to attend the Borough Trials (if in doubt please ring me)

Welcome back and welcome to our New Cambell Website

Congratulations to all our players young and old that took their exams this past year. We are now losing some of those as they are now off to University, whilst some have completed their degrees and are coming back to us. Well Done to all our members– you are a brainy lot!

The 2008 / 09 season is now upon us and the senior and youth teams are in the middle of trials. The Essex Met league starts on Saturday September 27th with our Premier League team on the Sunday 28th. (See web page for fixtures) Our Junior squad of U14’s played their first match on Sunday 7th at Thurrock and won quite convincingly.

We have worked hard in developing our club members as umpires last season and have now an abundance of new young ones. This coming season our clubs aim is to develop more of our members in becoming coaches and volunteers.

We have also introduced a new playing uniform from Kukri. Kukri is sponsoring our Premier team uniform. (Follow
the link in sidebar opposite) By January 2009 our U13’s will be the first group to play in the new Essex Met uniform.


Through a lot of hard work from several members of New Cambell especially Mary Ann we shall know if we have received our ‘Bronze Caps Award’ in the next week or so.

We continue to try and find sponsors to allow us as a club to keep costs down and a very big thank you must go to ‘Jack Petchey’ in supporting our U25 members and our leaders through out the year; To Aquarend our Premier team sponsors who have paid for our training and match venues plus kit (Katie & Holly Nichols dad); and thanks also go to Deutsche Bank (Jayne Rollinson) for support for the Youth teams.

You would not be reading this now if Dave White (Ex Youth Coach & Ruby White’s Dad and the Purple team assist coach last season) hadn’t offered to update our web site (Kirsty Ann Daly set our first web site up a few years back). It will be a fantastic way to communicate to all its past, present and future members around the country and the world. You will not receive any emails in future as all the information will be on this web site. Thank You Dave for putting so many hours into getting this web site up and running far quicker then we ever thought possible.

Challenge of the New Season

We all have an exciting and hopefully successful season ahead of us. Please every one enjoy the season, play hard, play well, play fair, respect each other, achieve your own and your teams goals but most of all be responsible for your own actions.

Congratulations must also go to two of our Senior Premiership members and that is Gemma Wiseman
and Clare Higham who have both achieved a place in the Mavericks Senior Squad.
