With a full squad the players were looking forward to a hard, but tough first match of the season against the strong team of Oaksway. We were not disappointed, the first quarter was going goal for goal up untill the last few minutes when Oaksway pulled 3 quick goals away to take the lead 15 -12. There was no change in the 2nd Q as again there were some good defending down the court and 17 opportunities to shoot. Half time score 23 - 29: A slight change in the team combination gave Rochelle her first start of the season and fresh legs saw us take this 3rd Q by just the odd goal. Oaksway came out strong in the last quarter defending every move and took the first 6 goals to put the match out of contention for us. A disappointing end to the match but some really good positives from individuals and great moves in attack all be it not as consistent as we would have liked. Final Score 39 -52:
