NC : Premier Reports

New Cambell’s first squad plays in the
England National Premier League Division 1

Premier League v Worcester 16/11/14

A depleted Premier squad traveled to Worcester to play in their 8th match of the 2014/15 season. Worcester were promoted from Div 2 last season and were finding it tough in Division 1 – Premier league.
Unfortunately for Worcester NC squad was not going to make it any easier even though they traveled for over 3 hrs to get there.
1st Quarter the score was relatively even with NC up by just the 1 goal. An excellent team talk at Quarter time got the team into 1st gear and on they rolled not letting Worcester score for the next 10 mins and then only allowing them just 4 goals to take the score in at half time to 27 – 14. A change at WA saw Tracey D (who is the Assistant Coach) come on to replace Jade who had been out injured for 3 weeks given a rest. The team took time to settle and after letting Worcester hit 4 shots took command to win this Quarter 13 goals to 7. The final substitution saw Jade come back on at WD this time to give Clare a well earned rest but with Worcester achieving the most scoring opportunities in a quarter managed to pull the score back and take this last quarter by 3 goals but losing by 16 overall.
New Cambell – Scores
11 – 10: 16 – 4: 13 – 7: 10 – 13 Final Score 50 – 34
NC Squad:
Lyndsey (Capt POM) Taffy; Jade: Georgia: Clare: Lindsay: Phee – subs Tracey: Char & Jillean;
Shooting Stats:
Lyndsey 91% : Worcester 34/63: NC 50 /58

Well played everyone rest this Wednesday but match v Mavericks Snr & Youth on Thursday 27th. With another long journey up to Manchester to play Premier Division 1 leaders Oldham on Sunday 30th.

New Cambell Prem Team

Congratulations to the NCNC Prem squad this Sunday on their excellent win against a very strong Team Bath.
New Cambell Prem squad travelled down to Bath this week for their seventh match of the 2014 /15 season.
A disappointing 1st Quarter – saw NC 11 – 16 behind. A quick substitution and positional change still saw NC behind by 8 goals at half time.
Another positional change at last saw NC starting to link their moves together and work as a team to take this quarter by 8 goals to take the score all even at 39 – 39 all.
4th Quarter the team stayed to try and continue where they left off the last quarter. Unfortunately for NC, Bath were in no mood to lie down and with both teams showing some brilliant netball skills at times and with just 2 mins to go it was still even. A goal scored of NC centre pass and a brilliant interception by England Defender Lindsey Keeble the ball was passed down to the other end of the Court for Lyndsay Armitage to pop her 48th goal of the match in to take this match by 2 goals.
1st Q: 11 – 16: 2nd Q 10- 13: 3rd Q 18 – 10: 4th Q 14 – 12 Final Score 53 – 51

With 6 wins out of the 7 matches played puts New Cambell in to 2nd position of the England Premier League Div 1.

WELL DONE & WELL PLAYED IN THE END – WORCESTER NEXT WEEK
