NC : Essex Met Reports

Essex Metropolitan League played on Saturdays at Redbridge. New Cambell fields 6 senior teams and two youth teams that play in the Senior Leagues. Our junior teams play in the Essex Met Junior Leagues.

Essex Met – Saturday 14.01.12

We only had 3 fixtures played this week due to 3 of the new courts being unusable due to frost.  As these courts were in the shade, of the new sports hall building, the frost did not thaw for most of the day.  Lets hope this isn’t going to be an ongoing problem !!
Results:
Blues 51 Manor 52
Silvers 23 Essex Open B 56
Oranges 41 Pettits C 32
Well done to the Oranges.
I will let you know what the league decide for the re-arrangements.

Re-organizing the Website: October 2011

We have started work on restructuring and reorganizing the website with Pat and Tracey calling the shots to streamline use of the website and hopefully to make it easier to navigate and find what you are looking for.  This entails a substantial amount of work from them and this work we hope will be carried out while the website is live online.  However, it may be necessary to take the site offline for short periods. So you may see some unusual and unintended features and glitches over the next couple of weeks. Please be patient  and understanding while work is in progress.

Saturday 8th Oct: E Met League Results

This Saturday saw all New Cambell’s 8 teams on show at Redbridge Leisure Centre, and what a fantastic day was had. There were not any easy matches this week and each one of the teams had to work hard to come out of their fixture with a win. I cannot remember the Club for many many years having achieved 8 wins from 8 matches – Well Done and Congratulations to all the teams.

Saturday Sept 24th E Met League Results

Mixed fortunes were had for the New Cambell teams today with 3 wins Greens (1) Reds (4) and Purples (7)and 4 losses.
A good win came from our Greens who beat our 2nd team the Blues with some fantastic moves from both sides but the speed the Greens pass the ball was slightly superier: The NC Red team played Foxes 2 and with some new combinations outplayed Foxes in all areas of the court for a very convincing win: Next we saw our Oranges against our Purple team, although close in the first half the Purple team made up of our U16′s took the lead and also the match. There was misfortune for our Whites (3rds) who were playing Leyton B although leading the match a collision in the shooting circle saw our GA Claire having to be carried off and go to hospital with suspected knee ligament damage. Our WA Aimee was asked to take up the challenge of shooting but we ended up losing by 10 goals. The Silver team played a new team made up from several previous Met teams. A close 1st half but lost out in the 3rd quarter and although there was 100% effort in the last quarter to pull back the deficit it was not enough.
Our Yellow team are playing their first league match next week against OPA C at 10.30am Ct 10
